Local engagement
On the ground engagement will trial and test previously conducted research and training in practice, piloting protection projects locally in both urban centres, and in remote, rural locations.

Deep dives will be conducted in one major city in each project country, designing a comprehensive project that will make the most of a specific large Jewish cemetery, including arts and culture programs, educational engagement, inclusion in the municipal development strategy.
A model school will be chosen in each project country, where educators will be supported in engaging students in Jewish cemetery-related arts and research projects.
University students and secondary school pupils will be engaged in arts and photography competitions, and winning works will be presented at the concluding conference of the action.
University students from engineering and architecture departments will be invited to participate in a workshop on the possible uses of technology in preserving Jewish cemeteries.
Findings of our program will be published on this website, along with event invitations, competition calls, and lots of resources for educators and NGOs.
